    1. I’ve seen so many photos of Karnak Temple, but nothing prepares you for standing in the Hypostyle Hall. My family and I woke up too early to catch the sunrise here, and watching the sun hit these massive columns was surreal. My 5-year-old was totally captivated, and honestly, so was I. Each one is a work of art, and the whole complex of 134 columns represented a ‘sea of reeds’ and the creation of Egypt. If you ever get the chance, this is one of those places you just have to see for yourself! I also made a 2-minute movie of scenes in the temple for those interested: [Karnak Temple](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DBQvgE1yqLA)
