Trump supporters have been groomed and conditioned for more than the past decade to alienate anyone and anything in their life that isn’t part of the cult. Now they have no social connections left in their lives except for the cult and that’s the point. If they leave now, they’ll have absolutely nothing to turn to because they’ve burned all those bridges long ago and if they *still* choose to leave because of how bad their life has gotten under Trump, they’ll probably be bullied by the remaining cult members until the end of time. This is how cults keep people in line.
