Haha, this reminds me of the classic Tom n Jerry scene.

Such a good boy/girl waiting for the mail carrier to be ready first.

Funny reaction, but really shitty to be that unaware and leave the gate open. Dog could have easily run away.

Wow people who dont know how to keep their dog in check… so funny

That dog totally thought they were playing.
But also this is irresponsible as hell. Don’t leave your dog in the yard ever, really, bit especially not when you’re expecting a delivery. He left that gate wide open and gave the pup every opportunity ro become a grease mark. Also if the dog had bitten the guy there’s a decent chance it gets the needle.
Be smarter with your dogs, folks.

My Aunt & Uncle had a dog that would let anyone IN the house, but don’t try to leave with it one of the at the door and you’d get a surprise.

I like that the dog didn’t bother trying to get out either. This is just a game the dog plays.

So what is the assumption on gate access for delivery people? We have a doorbell at our gate to our courtyard and it’s well off the street. The gate is latched and then clipped with a hook from the inside but not keyed. You have to reach over the gate and unclip the hook and then open the latch. I’m trying to decide if that one random guy who undid the hook once warrants needing a keyed lock.

Funny to look at but not funny for the delivery guy. He could have easily fallen. And the owner always would say don’t worry flower never bite. But how’d he know in that split second. The dog is charging and chasing and barking. And yeah the front gate was open and dog free. You would wonder how pets run away. This is why. Overall shitty owner

I think if the guy didn’t freak out, the dog wouldn’t have chased him.
The dog is actually well-behaved for a stranger entering the property.
