I’ve slowly begun to have more sympathy for John Lithgow’s character in Footloose than Kevin Bacon’s character haha! They’re both still talented actors anyway.

I like to think they keep an empty railcar and abandoned factory in their back yard for Kevin to go sort out his feelings.

When I was in college, I was eating brunch at this spot in the upper west side and she sat adjacent to me. I was 19 or 20 and recognized her but didn’t want to blow her up thinking she was by herself grabbing food. Said “hi , I know you” very subdued when we made eye contact and got back to my group, then later I dropped my utensils and she picked it up and was so sweet. She proceeds to chop it up back and forth about bullshit for like 5 mins, and she just seemed like her priorities were in order. I’m in my 40’s now and I will always remember how normal she seemed.

For marriages to work nowadays is a blessing.
For marriages to work in Hollywood is a miracle!
Marriages in Hollywood do seem to have a special level of difficulty—so when one actually works, it’s like a little miracle. It’s nice to see couples who make it through the pressures of fame and the spotlight.
