As anon English speaking native, don’t Americans have a saying that goes like: everyone is fatter in Texas?

    2. Hegseth much be seething that this has become the image for his “warrior mindset”. I mean it’s painfully on the nose. But he must be big mad.

I didn’t see it at first but the two dudes on the right almost have to be brothers, if not that is wild as hell.

    4. Hey, if I was getting deployed and not getting paid, I’d want it to be a place with the best god damned deep dish pizza in the world. 🙂

    5. I’m not trying to put down the National Guard, but I was active duty. Sending the National Guard to intimidate is pretty ridiculous.

Sure, there are some that are in shape, but that’s the same with average American citizens. Because the ARE average American citizens the vast majority of the year. They work normal jobs like the rest of us often never being near a military base except for one weekend a month, 2 weeks a year.

I always dreaded them coming to base bc the chow hall food was always worse (because they had to feed a lot more people just as quickly).

Anyway, no shade to the National Guard but it’s simply another absurd move by a terminally-absurd man that cosplays as a President. I hope everyone is safe through all this and also hope people non-violently protest to continue to humiliate that fragile man.

p s. As an aside, I REALLY wish the show Portlandia was still on and they did a whole episode of skits written around ICE presence. So much comic gold.

I guarantee that these guys are not infantry from Texas. They are likely transportation (truckers) guys and gals.

Peter is from Rhode Island. I think you meant to use someone from King of the Hill, perhaps?

There’s a greater than zero chance these puds defect to Chicago once they get some Italian beef sandwiches in them.

    9. So … they’re just going to pretend there aren’t a ton of murders & violent crime in Dallas and/or Houston?

What a typical Texas/Ted Cruz move: “When shit hits the fan in TX, we are outta here!”
