I must have abnormal core strength or something. I’m in my late 40s, don’t go to the gym, and have never done a plank exercise. Just to see how hard it is I put my phone down with the stopwatch going and did a plank. Stopped at one minute but I could have gone longer. 🤷♂️

I think planks are a little easier for men because they are more top heavy weight-wise so their mass pushes down on the arms more, whereas women carry more weight in their butts and thighs so the center mass pulls down on their frames more. Just assuming your normally fit person.
It’s the same reason women can do the trick where she’s on all 4’s and can quickly pull her arms behind her back while still leaning over, but men will faceplant on the floor if they try the same, generally.
Anyway. I feel bad for her if that’s how her dude does missionary. It’s like doing missionary for when you desperately don’t want to touch the other person or something.

Wall sits are no joke either. Just sit against the wall like you were sitting in a chair with no seat. It sounds easy but it’s insane.
I mention them because planks are the second best exercise for reducing blood pressure long term and wall sits are the best.
