485,000 miles on a 2023 Toyota? That’s not just reliability—that’s borderline immortality. Toyota engineers must be high-fiving each other in a secret lab somewhere!

Those things get mostly driven on highways from airports to hotels and they’re maintained meticulously. Every part gets replaced before its due date.
It’s not uncommon for them to hit 7-digit miles.

That’s an insane amount of kms for such a short period of time.

Any car would be immortal if you ship of theseus it all the time
I reduced mine by 40k miles a decade ago, when I bought it. So the actual mileage is around 275K miles now, around 442,000 KM
Toyota Avensis 2008 diesel.
I do service it myself every 3000 miles or once a year. And still, Oil is yellow as the sun.

I would also say. The roads are there pretty solid — no potholes, no speedbumps.. That plays a huge roll as well.. I can’t imagine that car here in Turkey. The roads are generally here in a bad shape..

Not sure if my math is correct, but presume it’s been 2 full years since mile zero; to reach 485k miles would require driving on average 664 miles (1070 kms) a day!

I have a mercedes W124 diesel with 1.2 million kilometers, although it took almost 40 years to get it.
