They’re just outright admitting people will lose their health care.

This is to say nothing of all the rural hospitals that will get shut down if spending levels aren’t returned to baseline. Schumer should never have capitulated back in March.

    2. I’m a fully employed, healthy, youngish fella.

My monthly premium without a subsidity for bottom of the barrel bronze Healthcare with an $9,500 deductible would be $561 a month.

      Five. Hundred. Sixty. One.

      Per month. For me.

    3. We need to get people into the workforce, says the man currently taking a prolonged vacation from work in order to protect pedophiles.

    4. DrumpfPutin2024 on

We have to get people off healthcare and into private healthcare. We have to get people off education and into private education. THESE CRETINS ARE EXHAUSTING

My ACA health insurance, which I pay for with my wages, is going UP BY $930 January 1.

    6. But they cut the jobs report which is sitting at negative the last few months.

“Just get a job!” says the ding dong with lifetime government healthcare.

Comer: *”Hey, old man, vacation’s over! Time to get back to work! Walmart & McDonald’s will hire 77 year-olds!”*

    8. Not every American can work, so we let the disabled pass? What about our disabled veterans? They fought for our country and the “freedom” we should have. Most of them can’t work, should we just dig a hole? Have them all get in? Because that’s what this sounds like.

    9. “…into the workforce”

Meanwhile, the last 3 months of employment data has shown that the job market is shrinking. You think a lot of these people wouldn’t rather be gainfully employed at a well paying job? The job market SUCKS right now, and it’s just going to keep getting worse.

Sure there are some folks who would rather coast and get everything free that they can, but those billionaires already have their own healthcare.

We gotta get all these people _we’re fucking firing_ and all the ones who are losing their jobs _because of our fucking policies_ back to work!!

If there is ever an appropriate time to use the meme phrase…

      “hUrR DUrR !”

      ….this is it.

We are being governed by babbling fucking idiots.

Employer-sponsored healthcare was always the dumbest solution to an unnecessary problem. The moment you’re too sick to work (or have a sick family member who requires full time care giving) and need healthcare the most is when you no longer have healthcare.

It makes exactly as much sense as suspending kids from school for skipping school.

    12. Private healthcare sucks ass. I have a good corporate job. I will spend $13,000 on healthcare for my family this year.

    13. IamNotaMonkeyRobot on

There are many, many jobs that don’t offer healthcare. You know, like those that pay the embarrassingly low minimum wage. And by the way, private company-offered healthcare premiums have skyrocketed. So if you’re barely scraping by, what good will that do? How about we stop paying for health insurance for Congress. They can go to the marketplace.

    14. ReflectionEterna on

How about the fact that the jobs numbers for last month were recently amended to show that there was a huge loss in available jobs? Where are these people going to get the jobs for public health insurance?

    15. Spoken like a true private insurance bribed sellout. Man, we need to get rid of all these people.

    16. Strange-Yesterday601 on

If you haven’t realized it yet or are too bias to notice. This administration cares about making money. But not for America, but for their private partners so that we have to rely on capitalist companies rather than government resources. Having both is good and healthy, having only private resources will cause prices to rise uncontrollably

    17. Writing_is_Bleeding on

OMFG… These people are bad enough, but the Americans who believe their bullshit are killing us all.

    18. I hate how they get away with saying dumb shit like this.

The only people on Medicaid not in the workforce are people like my Mom, who is parapalegic and homebound. A lot of people don’t know, a lot of disabled people have both Medicare and Medicaid. When you demonize Medicaid, you’re hurting them.

I hate the glorification of ‘private goods’ and this BS about hating on out of work people. Americans are not lazy. They work harder than a lot of people, doing too many damn hours. I assume the best in the average person on unemployment or going through a rough patch in life. I simple do not care about their obsession with so-called ‘welfare queens’ and lay-abouts. It’s just a stupid, mindless game we’ve been playing for a century. Private insurance is worse by every metric, and we need a public healthcare option for all Americans who just want something affordable and dependable. Personally, I don’t think private health insurance is worth having, but if they want to pay five times more than me, go ahead. But stop forcing people to have private insurance.

My 90 year old grandmother is on Medicaid. She’s not going back into the workforce. This is inhumane and we should be working towards universal healthcare.

    20. Veggiedelite90 on

Work for your billionaire overlords to make them more money or die seems to be the pitch they’re going with. Strange choice while they’re also actively trying to use AI to remove half the jobs from the workforce

    21. minderbinder49 on

This is a nonsense sequence of words. People already can’t afford healthcare *but* we have to get them off their low-cost healthcare? So basically he wants everyone to pay more for less except him and his cronies. And the more poor and sick people who die as a direct result of losing their healthcare, presumably the better. Also I am getting a violence warning as I am typing this up, which is truly amazing.

    22. I’d like to put him into the workforce. Sweeping floors and washing surfaces in an ER. Night shift.

“We gotta get those 75-80 year old diabetics off their lazy asses and back into the workforce so their employers can make them wait 6-12 months before their minimal healthcare kicks in!” -James Comer

“Meanwhile, fuck you, I got mine!” -Also James Comer

    24. Tying healthcare to employment has got to be in the top three of biggest scams ever pulled on the American people.

How anybody thought “if you can’t work you should just die” was something to buy into is truly perplexing.

    25. Journeys_End71 on

A lot of people on Medicaid are kids.

Gotta get them into the workforce to solve all those problems!

    26. My brother worked his butt off doing manual labor. For years. When he got lung disease from chemical exposure it took him months to get on Medicaid – actually maybe a year. He could not get up from a seated position his breathing was so limited and his crap insurance would not even cover at home oxygen. Even his drs were disgusted.

But sure. He could just go get a job.

He said he knew Ssdi was just waiting for him to go first. I mean his prognosis was only a few years anyway. Hard to describe how void of any humanity these people are.

    27. Responsible-Chest-26 on

This notion that anyone who receives government assistance is simply just lazy needs to stop. I can only imagine fucks like this guy know its bullshit but the average Joe absolutely believes it as fact

    28. Brilliant_Effort_Guy on

Meanwhile, employers are going barebones with their healthcare plans and passing along costs to their employees. It’s almost like they don’t actually care about their employees and just want the tax credits 🤔

    29. Finally! The quiet part out loud. “We need to trap you in low paying jobs or you will not get health care.
