Well that’s a over glorified aspect it was more like he conquered the subcontinent but couldn’t keep on fighting due to morale and exhaustion of soldiers after fighting for so long

    2. I mean he beat those war elephants.

But the Nanda Empire, which ruled the Gangetic plains, had a much bigger army almost as big or bigger than the Achaemenid’s. For Alexander’s army it would have been another prolonged struggle when they already have been on march for more than a decade.

      So they said F it.

Bullshit, Alexander won against those small Indian border states.

It was the fear and exhaustion of his army of going further inland that caused Alexander to turn back

    4. Either this is meant to be rage bait or we got someone who does not study history at all

    5. His wounds in india were from being reckless while attacking a fortified town, not from the battle of hydaspes, that’s from the movie. He conquered the border states with their elephants then continued to conquer fortified towns south on his way to the ocean rather than attacking the larger empires further into india, which would have been very impractical, and more dangerous and less justifiable than fighting Porus.

    6. Guys you are giving too much credit to elephants. Just use mice. That’s what I have learned from cartoons.
