    1. Growing up in the 90’s and early 2000’s ex Yugoslavia, i can exactly guess how that room smelled.

      It’s hard to describe, but there was this distinct smell to that indoors of the socialist architecture before the general overhaul they got, be it a hospital, school hall, municipal building, or airport. I’m not talking about cigarette smoke (which was very present), but about a smell from the very walls, ceiling and floor. A bid moldy, maybe? I don’t know.
