Using GDELT — a database that monitors over 100,000 online news sources across 100+ languages and ingests roughly 250 million articles per year — I pulled daily article counts of how often each artist was mentioned from 2017 to 2025.

Each line shows their share of global news coverage, indexed so that Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella performance (“Beychella”) = 100. A value of 200 means an artist received twice as much media attention as Beychella.

Imma let you finish — but the data says Taylor is the “greatest artist of all time.”
