What a great clip. I saw them twice in the early 80s with Brian Johnson, I wish I could have seen them with Bon too, I was 11 or 12 when he died. They are a great band!

AC/DC is one of those rare bands that found their niche early, and that niche lasted successfully their entire career. They didn’t follow trends, they didn’t constantly hunt for new sounds (other than Bon’s bagpipes on Long way to the Top), they found a groove, a sound, and rode that for all it was worth. And we love them for it. Even having to change out singers didn’t slow them down.

That crowd is way too chill.

One of a kind. Scotland favourite song, and frontman.

I saw AC/DC as the opening act for Aerosmith in Vancouver (Canada) around that time.

I saw them in 1982 at the Centroplex in Baton Rouge. The show was so good, and rowdy, that the city revamped a bunch of rules going forward, including no more general admission. I’d say this show and Bruce Springsteen, also in Baton Rouge a couple of years later, are easily the best big arena shows I’ve ever seen. In those days, between New Orleans and Baton Rouge saw a bunch of the biggies like the Stones, The Who, Heart, Tom Petty and Heartbreakers, Doobie Brothers, Eagles, Van Halen, etc. All of those bands were great, except for the Eagles who looked miserable and pretty lame by 1980.

Bon Scott was a vocal and charismatic genius, IMO nothing afterwards could compare…
Rock On, Bon you legend 🤘

Bon was next level. Born to entertain and raise hell.

Their musicianship in this period was awe inspiring.
Shame about the audio mix here.

Wild that there’s no vocal monitors.

It is really cool seeing old Bon Scott footage. I think the best part of the video is the Angus solo at 3:25.
Replacing Bon Scott would have been an impossible task. Brian Johnson had big shoes to fill and did it better than any else could. RIP Bon Scott.

I saw them with Bon Scott at the Columbus Agora back in 1977. It was wall to wall people. I think the air conditioning broke down because it was hotter than hell in there! Bon Scott came out into the crowd with Angus Young on his shoulders playing guitar. It was so loud I couldn’t hear right for days after the show!

Angus & Bon at Cleveland Bond Court Hotel(lunch) 1977
Crowd is as muted as Scott’s performance.
wow, I never would have imagined that voice came outta that guy
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bon was a bit “special”…
Does Angus not have a guitar chord? Wireless in 1977?
Facial expressions? What a weird thing to notice.
It’s high time he gets credit for writing ALL the LYRICS for the album Back in Black.
