That would be the 28% who suckle at the teat of the mango moron. What he says, they repeat.

“Well sure it costs more but that’s not trump’s fault Biden ruined everything “ – some moron

    3. Bot farms screwing poll data. We are living in the post-facts world. Anyone can go online and say anything they want, and a percentage of the ppl will agree with them (or it will look that way with all the astroturfing). Why would anyone believe any poll data anymore?

Isn’t it in the wording though ?

“Easier to afford”…doesn’t mean more expensive to buy.

If Republicans are saying it is easier…maybe they are getting $$$$’s from somewhere which makes it easier to afford.

They do live in an alternate reality BUT this regime is most probably giving them some sort of handout which is why it is ‘easier to afford’.

Once people bond with the leader, they may be inclined to dismiss any evidence that conflicts with his claims, or overlook contradictions in his messages. They believe him because they believe in him. Or, in an interesting twist, they know he is lying, but they decide that they don’t care: better him than his enemy (who, as they have been taught to believe, lies even more). And some people actually approve of all the lying, seeing it as rule-breaking by a rogue they adore.

That’s the mentality of fascism- the belief that you can deny reality until it changes itself to align with your preferred truth.

      In so many words, yes.

They’re not actually tallying up their groceries and checking things empirically. If they did and they based their opinion on data alone, there is absolutely no way someone can come to that conclusion unless they’re in a niche circumstance.

What’s happening is they get on their phones or their TV and they tune into the same conservative and Trump-backing media and get told over and over and over again that Trump’s economy is doing good, and so that becomes their cognitive reality.

I think it’s more like 28% of republicans are actually stupid people who make simping for a fat old dotard their entire personality.

    9. Jordan Klepper did an interview with a guy who was at a trump rally. The guy said he was voting for Trump because he was better for the economy and his business did so much better under Trump’s first presidency.

      Klepper asked the guy’s profession.

The guy answered without a hint of self-realization: repo man.

Yes, it’s the 28% that over the age of 75, retired, paid off houses, paid off cars, healthy pension accounts that receive cost of living increases in the payouts and have numerous investment properties that they’ve raised the rent on considerably over the past decade

    11. To be fair, all those voting for easier afford probably were beneficiaries of the tax breaks for the rich.

Yes. Republicans care about one thing, aesthetics. Their whole world revolves around it. Thats why their politicians can and do say anything they want regardless of validity as long as they keep up the aesthetics of being strong and powerful.. you can post a picture of AI slop bodybuilder Trump with a gun and a flag and they will just eat it up. Its like entertaining a child.

28%… they don’t go and buy their own groceries, they have their own “staff” do it!

    14. Cult! They would literally drink poison cool aid if Trump gave them a personal invitation to Mar a lago and told them he needed them to drink it!

    15. I’m already hearing some conservatives claiming ‘the economy is great’. No I am not exaggerating.

    16. Yes… yes they are! They live in the echo chamber of lies they’ve been sold. They are so deep that reckoning with their failures in judgment at this juncture would create an existential crisis!

    17. I’ve always heard that 30% of the country are loonie tunes, so these numbers are adding up.
