They just keep making these cruise liners bigger and bigger

I don’t see what people getting off has to do with the size of the ships

Yep, cruise ships are like a floating mall

A magical dysentery experience like you’ve never had before!

They are ships with no grace or style. Just floating shops, restaurants, casinos filled with people and (sometimes also) poop.

I have a few pictures from my cruise and ya the scale when you get off at Port is insane

I find their size quite scary. My mind starts thinking, “If these started taking on water, they aren’t staying upright for very long.”

At least someone is getting off

Only cruise I’ve been on is 70,000 tons of Metal. Fucking amazing. Haven’t tried a normal cruise yet.

Didn’t one of these cause more pollution than all the cars on earth

Can’t wait for that industry to go belly up.

~~Dang I think I was on the right side one – I can’t remember for certain, there were one or two of that class. We were in the state room sticking out of the side, on the lower floor with a balcony.~~
Nevermind, Carnival Conquest not queen of the seas
Hated the rest of the cruise but the room was nice

The people are much too far away; I can’t tell which ones are getting off.

First thing they taught us in Intro to Cruise Ship Design was to make sure the ship is bigger than the people on it.

You have great eyesight, I can’t tell who’s getting off at all

Oasis class. Not even the largest RC has to offer.
Had a wonderful time on Symphony. Met some awesome folks. Not a bad way to spend a week.

It’s basically a giant strip mall on water (you paid for the stores with your ticket price.) I don’t see the appeal.

It does make me wonder if humanity will build cities over oceans one day. Has an airport, schools, hospitals etc. Since it’ll be international waters, own laws.

In comparison, how much smaller was the Titanic?

There used to be a Google maps image of one of those monsters next to the USS Iowa. The size difference was incredible (the cruise ship dwarfed the battleship)

In fairness, the people getting off are pretty big too.

I lived along the Hudson river between NY/NJ. You see these boats float down daily multiple times. They are massive, it looked like the tool a skyscraper in NYC, knocked it down and use it as a boat

I thought this was going to be a fat joke
datazulu on
You’re right! There are some real fatties walking off that ship.
Kurian17 on
What you can’t see is that everyone getting off the cruise ship weighs over 300lbs.

It will never not blow my mind seeing a size comparison between the titanic and a modern cruise ship.
