Yo so I just realized it's been exactly a 50 days since I last smoked and I'm honestly shook. Like I've been trying to quit on and off for literally years and always caved after like 3-4 days max.
This time something just clicked I guess? The first week was absolute garbage – couldn't sleep for shit, everything felt boring as hell, kept reaching for my stash that wasn't there lol. But I just kept telling myself "one more day" and somehow here we are.
The weird thing is how much clearer my head feels now. Like I didn't even realize how foggy I was all the time. And I'm actually dreaming again which is wild cause I forgot that was even a thing.
Also not gonna lie, having an extra $200+ in my bank account feels pretty nice too 😅
Anyone else been through this? Does it keep getting easier or am I gonna be fighting cravings forever? Some days I still think about it but it's not that desperate "need it NOW" feeling anymore.
Anyway just wanted to share cause most of my IRL friends would really get it since they all still smoke daily. Thanks for reading if you made it this far ✌️

I’m happy for you. Depending on how long you smoked, you could be in for up to a year’s improvement mentally and physically. I can’t speak to the cravings, but do you have a plan in place for **if** you smoke again? If it happens, you can absolutely stop again the next day. No reason to compound a problem.

I’ve never found it difficult to pause weed consumption. Plan a trip for a month to a country where it’s illegal. Cold turkey that shit. Or keep track of how much money you spend on it and realize how much your bank will appreciate it.

Your comment about the dreams is interesting. I start dreaming again when I try taking breaks but eventually start dreaming about the things I run from. Being scared of my dreams is one of the many things holding me back from quitting. :/

It definitely gets easier, especially if you find things to do that don’t tempt you to go back to smoking. I used to smoke to enhance an experience (concerts, movies, video games, etc) but then it became smoking out of boredom. I was smoking an ounce each month. This week is 1 year for me.
Saving all that money is legit amazing ($100-200/month).
I started reading again (mostly fantasy & sci fi) and it’s awesome to be able to remember what I read the night before!
I’m eating so much better and started going to the gym consistently. I’m healthier and stronger than I’ve ever been.
I also started playing hockey again, being heathier, stronger and more clear headed Im scoring goals most games and having more fun than ever.
