Some of the carved-out stairs, water channels, and chambers the Nabateans used as homes, warehouses, temples, cisterns, etc. Little Petra, Jordan. Known as Siq al-Barid (the cold canyon), it was probably built during the height of Nabataean influence, in the 1st century C.E. [1920×1080] [OC]

I am loving these posts on the Nabateans. Thanks so much for sharing the lesser known sites. 🙂
Forgot to say. A few days ago I posted about some [Nabatean frescoes](https://www.reddit.com/r/ArtefactPorn/comments/1nmpph3/nabatean_frescoes_little_petra_jordan_40_bc_25_ad/). The big chamber in the picture is the  “Painted Biclinium”. The frescoes are there, on an arched ceiling behind the bars that protect them.
