[Museum](https://collections.sbma.net/objects/4465/lotus-sutra-jewelled-pagoda-chapter-chapter-11). In this chapter, an enormous tower covered in jewels appears before Buddha Sakyamuni and his assembly. Sakyamuni explains that the tower is the manifestation of an ancient Buddha named Prabhuratna, who lived millions of years ago, and that this manifestation appears whenever the Lotus Sutra is being preached.
With a touch of his finger, Sakyamuni opens the door high up on the tower. Prabhuratna welcomes him inside, and offers him half of his seat. Sakyamuni accepts, and levitates the rest of his assembly up into the air to join them. The point of this chapter is to affirms the perfect truth of the Lotus Sutra by associating the authority of Sakyamuni with Prabhuratna.
