We are not progressing anymore We are regressing.  You can thank smartphones and lobbying parties for that.

    2. Last year it was hotter than usual – this year it’s as cold as it always was. I’m guessing that this December is going to be snowy.

    3. Just in the last 20 years I’ve had 70 degree Halloween, rainy Halloweens, and 25 degree snowing Halloweens.

Where do you live? The last few years have been brutal with the heat in Germany, but this year (gladly) it’s been cool since September, I’m so happy that I finally get an Autumn that’s actually cold.

I didn’t even want a jet pack. I just assumed there’d be a working American government, more social justice and I’d have a decent office job.

      Reddit in a nutshell.

Me: “Things sure used to be better”

      Reddit: “ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE MEANS NOTHING!!!!!!”

Every person I’ve interacted with that denies climate change doesn’t even know what a watershed is.

    8. This genuinely makes me so sad. Life could be so much better but it’s *still* about line go up. Nothing else matters, just line go up. It has caused catastrophic damage to every aspect of our lives.

    9. October used to be cold and Christmas was al.ost guaranteed to be snowy. Now its not proper winter until bloody FEBRUARY!

    10. My fiance’s uncle denies the climate crisis… Dude’s like 60 and remembers when it used to snow from November to March

    11. October was well, not nice not warm. well sometimes golden every 3 years or so. Now it turned regularly. Golden.

I feel like the warmish month always kind of drag where I’m at – which makes up for the fact that spring is usually in like the 30’s and 40’s.

It snowed two halloweens ago though. Weather has just been getting weirder and weirder lately.

    13. I hate cold. And yes, October is still cold, just not as much. This year summer barely existed at my place.

    14. Two weeks ago our projected weather forecast in my area for the first week of october was the mid-70s, slowly decreasing. It is now going projected to be in the high 80s to low 90s until at least the end of the second week. It’s not fair.

    15. Imagine how frustrating it is for Millenials to see the rapid technological growth in the 90s and exploding economic prosperity in the US and think that is only going to accelerate, and instead we’ve basically stagnated for the last 20 years technologically and in terms of average Americans’ well being.

    16. It’s important to member that humans are just dumb monkeys and we are likely nearing our technological peak.

October here in California used to be rainy season (when we weren’t in a drought). Now it’s fire season 🙁

    18. I dunno, in my region the first half is September was pretty warm, sometimes hot, and now it has become much colder. Temperature is usually lower than 10°C, sometimes being higher up to 14 °C, and in night it can be 1-2°C. This night it should be -1°C outside, so it will be pretty cold, and even next morning it should be 0°C. I guess that October will be around the same.

    19. Honestly though, if you’re not talking about a personal experience or your own opinion, sources are important.

So many people have charged views that are based on “facts” (which aren’t their own) but they can’t name a source for them, so it’s just conjecture (something someone thought about something else) being paraded as “truth”. Be careful about that stuff.

[Carl Sagan warned and tried to prepare us for this.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Demon-Haunted_World#Baloney_detection_kit)

But anyway, yep, October used to feel colder in my opinion too.

    20. I remember hating when marching band finals were the last week of October or even the first week of November because it was literally freezing. I remember it snowing one year!!!

That wasn’t even 10 years ago.
