    1. Whoever took this picture better hope Bessent doesn’t find out. I hear he has a temper and will punch a person in the face.

    2. How happy Americans must be finally becoming the third world country they’ve always wanted. So they can ask for hand outs. Because it’s the American way!

American farmer welfare queens are going to be begging for another bailout and another one after that, since they stand to lose that huge Chinese market share for soybean exports (51% in 2024) they once had. That shit ain’t coming back.

    4. It’s not really surprising, this administration has been amateur hour with communications. Leaving docs on public printers, adding journalists to message groups. Just add it to the list.

    5. I want to make sure I have this correct. A high level government official is in public, reading classified communications on a non-government issued outdated iPhone?

These are the same people that say the single mom from El Salvador who works 16hrs a day in a field for $5 and came here to escape her and her daughter being raped and murdered are a dangerous threat to national security… mmk

This man is a nightmare for America, so is Howard Nutlick and Russel Vought. These are the people whose names should be on the news every single day cuz they are literally dismantling our democracy and tanking our economy deliberately, placing us in the hands of religious and Tech fanatics.

    7. A confidential message with incredibly common sense content. China shifting to South America for their soybeans is exactly what economists and that industry said would happen if the current tariff was implemented. This rhymes with all of the other times that cabinet members seem flummoxed by the outcomes of their policies after those outcomes were predicted by nearly everyone.

    8. Pathetic!

Brooke Rollins is without question the WORST secretary of agriculture in its beautiful history

    9. Did they think China would just not buy soybeans anymore? Did they forget that agriculture is not unique to america?

    10. Is it still confidential if everyone already knew that would happen before Trump ever implemented the tariffs in the first place?

Leadership starts at the top, and since we don’t have a leader, this kind of stuff happens.

    12. and its sent via imessage on a private phone. this is incredible. but what isnt with the trump government

      Per the text:

We bailed out Argentina because their libertarian wet dream failed, and then they turned around and dropped tariffs on soybeans to China. They sold a shit ton of soybeans to China to replace our supply because China won’t buy our tarrifed soybeans.

We will be bailing out farmers in the US next, and we are claiming that we will pay for that bailout with tariff revenue collected.

Sounds like we are just dominating the world stage, we may be even the hottest country in the world right now.

    14. Tbf that’s common easily accessible knowledge – and there’s a Russian asset in highest office nevermind rank and file – “what confidentiality?” is the better question lol

Most counties and industries are adjusting away from the States under this leadership, erosion of leverage, soft power, economic power, stability, competence and credibility is a reality of their current unqualified government

Should be neither secret or news to anyone, if it is you’ve got bigger problems lol

    15. Among the many idiots employed by this administration, are any of them actually qualified for the position they are holding?

    16. Republicans are completely incapable of governing anything. Utterly incompetent and ignorant on all topics.

      Republicans HATE America.

    17. Business_Door4860 on

So you are getting all worked up because a title claims it is a confidential message? Its texting, and nothing about who is selling soybeans to whom would be considered classified. Settle down.

Sadly Bessent is probably the one person in the administration who keeps Trumps government from going totally off the rails.

    19. And the media is trying to convince us Scott Bessent is the “competent” guy in the admin.

      🤦‍♀️

    20. The casualness that these absolutely self-obsessed morons act like it’s their job to fuck everything up is crazy. It’s like they think they’re the only ones who can get the job done but every idea and action is just the dumbest option available.

    21. The saving grace here is that at least *that* message isn’t confidential or classified or even secret. It’s common-fucking-sense. We fucked over our own farmers, and other countries are selling to China when it used to be us. This has been plastered over news/media for months, and it was predicted before these bullshit tariffs ever started. He shouldn’t have to be getting this sort of ‘intel’ from private text messages – it’s literally everywhere already.

It is genuinely incredible how absolutely fucking stupid this administration is from top to bottom. Like not even one person knows the secure modes of communication? Our adversaries must be having a field day with all the free info.

    23. Isn’t this from a few months ago when every day we were finding out that our leaders were NOT following communications protocols? Using private phones, private email and private chats for war plans and other confidential communications?
