    1. Didn’t they find out that most farmers claiming wolves killed livestock was just an excuse for poor farm management with wolves being the scapegoat?

Wolves are trying to survive in their own natural habitats that us humans encroached on and stole??? How dare they !!!! /s

    3. Kids are in danger? In a span of almost 20 years there was fewer than 500 total attacks on humans by wolves in the country. The majority of those attacks were animals with rabies, of which most animals have a similar incidence rate that makes a more common animal a greater threat. Statistics also don’t support the idea that wolves are a huge threat to livestock, and most states have programs to compensate farmers when such events do occur.

This idea some of these people seem to have that we have to eradicate nature because it’s inconvenient is just asinine. It’s like the people that buy waterfront property on a lake and then complain there are weeds in the lake and rocks or mud on the shore. If they wanted a pool they should have bought a place with a pool, just like if people want developed neighborhoods with almost no nature then they should live in a city.

    4. My grandfather ran a ranch in New Mexico with simple barbwire fences in a forested area with puma, bears, coyotes, and wolves roaming around. He understood the risk of having his cattle being attacked by them and he understood that he may lose a few. That’s the risk you take when you try and have livestock in an area with these wild creatures around. It’s the farmers job to protect their livestock, and Mother Nature to run her course.

The 1995 reintroduction in YNP and Idaho has been 30 years. I have lost 0, none, zero livestock or kids to wolves. I have used the pickup to chase a few out of the fields. In that same time, I have shot numerous neighbor’s dogs with bloody mouths in my fields with killed calves and lambs. Wolves are way better neighbors than dogs are.
