Once they have the group in place they trust, they will use the military for authorization rule over the country. Kegsbreath sucks nuts and that meeting is yet another scary parallel with past events, but it’s worth noting that there’s a looming government shutdown and when that happens military personnel have to keep working without pay.
The rest of the federal sector gets furloughed and then grabs their back pay afterward, but not the military. This invariably leads to a lot of…. let’s call them morale issues. A lot of the “military dude snaps and does awful shit” stories in the past were because of stuff like that.
So it could be a further escalation of our slide into full Nazism or it could be about that. I’m nervous but I’m putting off panicking until we know more.
