I loved Jack Kirby’s art. Dr. Doom hunkered over some crazy apparatus that only vaguely resembled anything familiar, yet seemed convincingly functional. I feel like Kirby took a little time with his apparatuses, rather than just drawing some boxes with some grids and levers and lights.
