Mercedes-Benz 770K (W07, 1930–1938); the W150 version (1938-1943) was updated to the technical level of the 540K (1936-1940).  All were fitted with a 7.7 litre (468 cid) straight-8 and most were supercharged.  Despite the bulk, the later ones would exceed 100 mph (160 km/h) if run on the long straights of the new Autobahns but even with a gas (petrol) tank holding 120 litres (32 US gallons, 26 Imperial gallons), at high speed it wasn’t long between fuel-stops.
