    1. Yeah but how strong is that? Looks like it loves to fall apart right around the front door, plus or minus three steps.

It’s interesting how long it takes technology like this to make its way to giant corporations. Craft breweries have had similar packaging for 4-6 packs for probably 5+ years at this point.

Omfg finally. It’s not like this is a new kind of packaging. I’ve seen it for years on some beers

    4. We put someone on the moon over 50 years ago and finally someone is like “gentlemen, R&D has developed a plastic-ring alternative!”

    5. This is a nice step, so tomorrow I expect for them to backtrack after being called woke by the President.

    6. I just got a 6 pack of Miller Lite a couple days ago that was packaged similarly; no more plastic rings

    7. In Australia/new Zealand, they come fully enveloped in cardboard. Also you can only get cans as a multi pack because they are easily recycled. The plastic bottles only come as singles.

    8. If you do some kind of stress test to your cardboard bottle holder and whoopsie it breaks before the plastic rings would have…you’ve just trashed the carbonation in 6 bottles of soda.
