Asylums is one of those few times the broken clock is right. We do need institutions back. It is no coincidence that when asylums closed the homeless population blew up.

There’s a dozen or so regular severe mental health, drug, homeless, mildly scary people in my town I wish had something like this. They literally create camps in front of city hall.
