Prasat Prang, is a seven-tiered pyramid at Koh Ker in Cambodia, it was built in the 10th century CE. Construction began around 921 CE, and it was a significant part of the ambitious building program undertaken by King Jayavarman IV, who made Koh Ker the capital of the Khmer Empire from 928 to 944 CE, his temple was dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva, The most compelling evidence for this dedication is that a colossal lingam (the aniconic symbolic representation of Shiva) was enshrined on the top platform of Prasat Prang.the pyramid symbolically represents Mount Meru, the mythical cosmic mountain in Hindu and Buddhist cosmology, Mount Meru is considered the center of the universe, the abode of the gods.
