      [Museum](https://emuseum.nich.go.jp/detail?langId=ja&webView=0&content_base_id=101110). 64.7 cm.

      Inscription (front):

      * 山城国西陣住埋忠明壽作 – “Made by Umetada Myōju from Nishijin in Yamashiro Province” (now part of Kyoto)

      Inscription (back):

      * 慶長三千八月日 – “[Made on] a day in the 8th month, 3rd year of Keichō” (1598)
      * 他江不可渡之 – “[This sword] should not be passed onto others” (outside the family)

    2. Horimono seems like such a difficult art form. Even if its in the softer portion of the blade, engraving a sword post-heat treat is hard work
