All religion is a cult. Just cause billions of people are attached does not make it real.
What a miracle that no one has come along with a pick ax, a hammer and a chisel and removed most of, if not all, of this stone at any point in the last 3000 years.
The stone itself is mesmerizing, let alone the centeredness and geometry of the layout.
