The swan was discovered in a burial mound in the Pazyryk Valley of the Altai Mountains, near Russia’s borders with Kazakhstan, China and Mongolia
I’ve always wondered where they get specific information on something like this. Like, how do we know that there’s this very specific symbolism of a 2000 year old plushie, and that it wasn’t just some a toy with no particular symbolic intent?
I it is amazing to me that this has survived. I am curious if it is partially reconstructed.
