Kangjiashimenzi is a collection of ancient petroglyphs that were carved into the side of a massive red-basalt rock in Xinjiang, China. These carvings have been dated to about 2000 BCE, and depict a fertility ritual, with exaggerated depictions of male reproductive organs [760×1926]

Reproductive organs aside, those faces are the most interesting I’ve seen in petroglyph form. I’m from the American west so I’m more familiar with Native American petroglyphs, and they don’t portray faces with this much — character? American petroglyphs have cooler animal forms though.
