Just watched this episode with athlete David Whelan, and honestly, I’m floored. He competed in the Norseman, arguably the hardest triathlon on the planet—and crushed it. And he’s an amputee.
His mindset during the race was all about telling himself “Take the hill” every time he wanted to quit. That stuck with me. Especially when he talks about how mental breakdowns became turning points.
Now he’s training to be the first amputee to complete the Great World Race and advocating for better prosthetic access while doing it.
