      if you don’t know the ancient geek term, just saying ‘veil’ would be more appropriate. I admit, they can be confusing. Often it’s just the outer himation garment worn over the head– sometimes even covering the face

      maybe you’ll say I’m being pedantic, but keffiyeh is actually a specific cultural term for a modern head scarf worn by men, and ancient greeks, male or female, did not wear them
