      I’ve done a fair bit of sculpting and carving in my life, and every time I see something as genuinely great as this I can’t help but think what it would be like to be on the last nose and… dammit I’ve knocked it off…

      This is 1 of my favorite ancient sarcophagi. If anyone wants to see it in person, it’s on display in Rome at the Palazzo Altemps, which has an amazing collection of ancient statuary.
