Damn, i bet that is the one that taught the Orcas to crush ships.

This is somehow *both* terribly sad, & super inspiring simultaneously.

I was at my parents house today, and a manatee came over to the dock. It was a juvenile. Maybe 5 feet long.
One of the first ones we had ever seen that had no scars on it.
Love manatees, they move so freaking slow. You see them on the surface, then they go under for 30 seconds, and pop up 6 feet away.
EVERY SINGLE ADULT i have seen always has a bunch of scars on their backs. My parents house has storm drain outlet going into the water, so manatees show up frequently. This young manatee hung around all day. Sitting under the boat, and in the shallows.
We see mother manatees and their babies show up all the time. (my mom used to run the hose for them, before we found out it was illegal, but she still does it sometimes to our chagrin. When you get old, you dont give a fuck I guess.)
I wish I could tag them or something… When it is high tide, you can reach out and pet them (which I DONT DO, cause im sure that is illegal)
