Soldiers,found still wearing armor,fought the battle of Visby (22 July 1361)on Gotland Island (Sweden).The dead fighters were buried in mass graves alongside their chainmail shirts,gloves and weapons.[4560×3082]

Those were some strong-jawed individuals. 

Each skull once belonged to a man who had his own story to tell of homes and hearth, travels to far-off places, friendships and families, romances and rivalries, heroics and heartbreak, lessons learned, and battles won and lost. So many stories to tell, sadly silenced by the chilling embrace of death.

Damn, at least loot the armor and weapons first. Those are worth money!
