Deep Purple is the shit.
I think there have been a few covers from the ‘70s/‘80s airbrush era that had this concept of “recording console as starship bridge,” but this is undoubtedly one of the best executions.
Same artist who created the classic ELO “Out of the Blue” cover. Mad respect for Shusei.

There’s something so compelling about imagining yourself in one of these warm, liminal spaces staring out into the void.
I wore out a a vinyl copy of Made in Japan while still living at home with my parents. Drove them crazy.
