      Fascinating! Was this kind of offering common for the time (presumably among the wealthy)?

      It’s so intricately carved; clearly a lot of work went into that sculpture!

      Does anyone know what the inscription says?

    2. Oh I saw this in one of those books on Rome. Yemen, which was a huge supplier of incense to Rome collapsed after the empire transitioned into Christianity. With that, the worship of Ra’lab Ryam & a other pagan gods in the region gradually died out.
