He’s obviously not poisoning pigeons in the park or doing the masochism tango… maybe he’s doing new math…
If you’d left out the bullshit Jello-shot thing I’d have enthusiastically upvoted you. I have my old man’s original collections of his vinyl. I think what I most respect about him was he went back to his real love of maths and asked the world to leave him alone over the comedy.
But I do love his comedy – works even today.
Tom Lehrer was how I discovered I’d been taught “New Math.” I could follow the problem in the song perfectly, but that line about “seven from three is six” or whatever baffled me.
And let’s not forget his songs for the Electric Company on PBS, while we’re here.

New math, new math, it won’t do you a bit of good to review math. It’s so simple. So very simple, that only a child can do it.
It’s not against any religion to want to dispose of a pigeon.
