Insanity. People need to be informed about this shit and cutting off source of information like this is completely unsurprising for the GOP

    2. AuthorTomFrost on

This also kills the narrative that the GOP can’t get anything done in Congress. The truth is that the things they can’t get done, they don’t want to get done.

    3. >voted to prohibit the CDC from studying gun deaths

Reminder: guns are the leading cause of death for children in America. So. Much. Freedom.

    4. Fucking sick psychopaths. They’re more concerned about keeping their precious kill toys than they are about the lives they take. Absolutely infuriating.

Guns are safe and healthy. Metal detectors at the capital violate the 2nd amendment and should be removed right away.

    6. The more people die, the more fear spreads and the more guns can be sold. That’s the American gunbusiness dream.

    7. I wonder why. I could have sworn this was already law….a law Republicans put on the books and even the drafter of that bill had come out years later to state it was one of the greatest mistakes he ever made.

Always remember, these people want to use their ARs to *enforce* gubmit tyranny, not to defend against it

    9. But….They’re constantly telling us guns aren’t the problem. You’d think they’d want all the info available to prove their claim.

They wouldn’t lie to us, would they?

Pretty much proves that many of them are CINOs, Christians in Name Only. Looking into the causes and impact of gun violence is the most adept way of figuring out how to lower the frequency of gun violence AND protect families and children. An opportunity to protect families and children is lost.

But. . . Guns are more important, you know.

    11. TBF, you don’t need to study gun deaths and gun injuries to know more guns means more gun crime. Just look at Texas, since Ted Cruz has been a Senator 3 things have all been consistently skyrocketing, the number of guns sold in Texas, the number of separate families that own at least one gun, and the number of homicides committed using a gun.

Owning a gun doesn’t make you safer, fewer guns makes you safer.

    12. I’m no republican, but umm….why would we give the Center for DISEASE control money to research firearms. Let them study disease. Someone else needs to handle guns.

    13. The country going downhill so fast now it’s hard to wrap your head around. People bumbling around like absolutely nothing going on.

    14. Flat_Income2082 on

What in the holy fucking hell is wrong with these freaks? How can they continue to just ruin this country, and so many peoples lives. This world needs a hard reset.

    15. You mean all Republicans are liars and should be assumed to be lying all the time? Yeah, I already knew that.

    16. Kid_Named_Trey on

I don’t even have a clever quip for this. I’m just exhausted from it all. There will be more school shootings, and kids will die, and our politicians will do nothing. That is exhausting.

    17. So they’re against research into stopping the number one cause of death among American children?

      Good to know.

      But not at all surprised.

    18. Congress shouldn’t even be able to ban government agencies from studying anything that falls under that agency’s purview. It’s not Congress’s job to micromanage agencies, their job is to define the broad responsibilities of agencies, not the specifics.

    19. Complete_Status6461 on

This is not new. They have restricted the cdc in the past from this sort of reporting.

    20. This is particularly upsetting when 9 Democrats were listed as “Not Voting” which would have resulted in a tie had they voted Nay.

    21. Practical_Ass_3066 on

In the same vein as “if we don’t test for covid, cases will go down.”

Letting gun humpers anywhere near Congress was a huge mistake.
