Repeating it in the future, that is a whole lot more embarassing.

It is more likely than not that no one even remembers the embarassing mistakes that stick in your memory.
This is why I tell people go to Vegas, everyone else is either a tourist or sees a few million tourists a year and no one will remember you singing karaoke in a pink cowboy hat at 2AM
