I always hated this joke for numerous reasons, but heavily because calling an entire nation of women ugly seems really fucked up

Women and food are alright, but the weather is the main issue.

As a Brit I do enjoy making fun of ourselves but come on, this is a bit sexist

Last I heard, Royal Navy now has more admirals than ships.

The food is great and the classier women awesome.
There is a reason most happily went home

Yeah I know it’s a joke but it’s completely inaccurate.
Both on the food and women part.
Which is annoying because there is a real history behind the food meme (ww2 rationing made food recipes bad and that stuck for a whole generation.) historically we use incredibly powerful blends of flavours in our recipes.
Traditional black pudding for example.

Anyone who’s made a joke like this has never had a Sunday roast with free-flowing Gravy, Yorkshires, and Roasties, nor have they ever seen the glory of all the sundresses that comes out on at the park on summers day
And you can trust me, I’m a reverse colonizer – I moved to the UK

I’ve never understood why English girls are stereotyped as ugly. I’ve always had a thing for English girls.

Oh man I heard this phrase before I went travelling as a young man from the UK and was very excited to see beautiful women everywhere I went.
Was kind of disappointed tbh, there seems to be a similar ratio of hotties everywhere as there is in Britain.

What the fuck is up with that flag, though?

I find it funny that the rest of the world thinks we’ve still got rationing that ended all the way back in 1954. Please, for the love of God, use some more up-to-date stereotypes!

Even in 2022 this was a joke only found on Facebook. Who the hell is still finding this slop post funny?

Captain Cook genuinely did love all the exotic food he got to try on his voyages.

Low effort, repetitive, not history.

The best “coloniser”. Up to this day the best sailors are the Greeks.
