    1. NASA engineers spent 10 years doing the math and God got the credit in 10 seconds.

Not fair if you ask me

    2. wondergirljulia on

the engineers built the rocket, ran the simulations, and monitored every system for 6 months… but sure, God did it 😭

    3. Waste-Stomach4457 on

God created the laws of physics, but the engineers had to figure out the loopholes to get a 6-million-pound rocket through them.

    4. Same with religious parents when doctors save their kids. Some people really go far out of their way to avoid even acknowledging reality.

When you work in complex jobs like this, you learn pretty quickly how shit can hit the fan, no matter how good your plans and calculations are, and your peaceful weekend becomes a nightmare.
No harm in thanking the big sky daddy

    6. Leave it to Average Redditorsâ„¢ to foam at the mouth at a bit of harmless spiritualism.

Do you really doubt that this guy knows the work that the engineers and flight planners put into this and is thankful for it?

Who tf is god and why do people keep talking about it? I’ve never met someone who’s claimed they’ve met it in person but they claim they know it’s real??? I’m so confused. Maybe they’re just joking about knowing it to prank me

    8. CuteFormal9190 on

Funny thing is that there is a large percentage of engineers and technicians that work on the space crafts and control units etc that are Christians.

    9. God created the NASA engineers though, right? I’m a mystic and even *I* know *that* much

Whenever I open any comment section of a post about religion, I know it’s going to be real toxic.

I mean too be fair, there is a lot of luck involved, like on one of the test flights the reentry capsul did lose integrity in the heat shield

    12. Thank you Magic sky daddy that goat herders in the middle east invented 2500 years ago for taking me to the moon. Gross and pathetic.

      God is good!

(Of course NASA engineers had a hand but God could have ended the mission at liftoff if he wanted.)

They also thanked the engineers, because they knew that each of them was appointed by god to help them, fuck all these atheist assholes, how dare they, sky daddy number 1 /s.

Ha get owned stupid christard another W for Reddit! Reddit assemble, get this meme to the front page to own the christards!

    16. During their journey to the Moon, he said that Earth was created for us. This guy is a creationist.

    17. I was working for a fish hatchery, and the crew was using an excavator to help roll up one of the nets for the fish pens. When we finished, the driver got out and said “Good thing God made excavators!”

I said “Didn’t man make excavators to help solve problems that god made for us?

He replied” No. God made excavators.” and walked away.

      I don’t get it.

    18. This God-Shit needs to stop! This flight was purely a scientific achievement and there is no god to thank.

    19. I’m just glad God was able to help this one dude go to the moon and whatever. Too bad all those kids got blown up by rockets, but I guess God was just too busy.

I’ve seen Contact enough to know that this is just something you have to do if you want to go to space.
