amazing how that is all thats left of the 5.75 million pound rocket that lifted off a week and a half ago

why are the pulling the ropes ? dont we have machines for that ? 😭what

    3. “right after” is bending the truth quite a bit here. I gave up watching an hour after splash down and this was not in that hour…

Just curious….why not just do this at splash down? Just drain the water and let the crew out…

    5. I can only imagine how it might feel to finally have a little decompression time when they first get a bit of privacy. Going back to (somewhat) normal routines with a feeling “damn that really happened”. I could not be able to shake the thought it might’ve been a dream.

    6. Amazing that there was no steam from the water when it touched down. Pod must have been so hot it burned off the steam before you could even see it. Science

This is not from “right after splashdown and Navy divers starting recovery”. It’s like 2 hours later. Just FYI

What’s all the coppery things on the outside, I assume it’s not just to make it look cuter.

    9. This isn’t Artemis II and would have been hours after when they retrieved the empty capsule even if it was

    10. Nice thinking using a ship with a well deck. I was wondering why they chose the USS Whatsitsname as the recovery ship.

    11. I always assumed a crane grabbed a hook on the top and they just pulled it up. Assumed it was simple, not rocket science.
