This is the only good thing America has done recently

It’s still insane to me that they actually went to a floating rock ~200k miles far out in the middle of space, like out there….in space….travelling in the void to check out the moon. My mind can’t wrap its head around the scale that must be at, how far, how distant, in a box in a void…
It’s absolutely incredibleÂ

That was just amazing. I was 8 when Armstrong took his steps on the moon, so I was too young to really appreciate just how incredible space travel is. As an adult…this mission was something. Genius. The pictures they sent back were stunning.

Pretty dope ngl. I thought they were actually gonna walk on the moon, they just orbited it? Are there plans to walk in the future
Fantastic !
Takes me back seeing the splashdown. So Apolloesque 🤓

Coolest shit of the year
What’s taking them so long to get to the capsule ðŸ˜
Welcome home babyyyyyyy! Let’s f’ing go!
Crazy the scale, complexity and magnitude of a mission. So relieved and pumped for next time with how well that went.
Who remembers the Apollo missions landing in the ocean
Hey, they didn’t come back into WW3
Congratulations to everyone involved in the mission. Very impressive seeing what humanity can accomplish with its brains and technology.
Its still weird to me that the technology to return is still three old-timey parachutes and dumping in the ocean.

Welcome back to the circus
It’s been really cool watching this experience. More of this.

Stuff like this makes me feel proud to be human, pretty cool stuff
I had almost forgotten what it felt like to be proud of something happening in America 🥲🥹
