worst regret

    1. If you’ve paid a lot and you’re at a decent place, you’re in your right to ask for adjustments or change your food. As long as you’re respectful and don’t take the piss, they should accommodate you. Keyword being “should”.

    2. I had this experience today. Spent £100 and it tasted like charcoal, tears and regret.

Ironically, the restaurants name is called Happy.

    3. Went to a Gordon Ramsay restaurant in Las Vegas years ago and got an overpriced burger. It was under seasoned and overcooked. I now take anything he says with a grain of salt.

    4. Or you make plans with a friend to go to a nice restaurant and order a ton of food and are basically magically full after eating a few appetizers

    5. I bit into Taco Bell potatoes (they have the little cups of potatoes and cheese), and got a mouthful of mold. My wife and I used to eat them on Wednesdays while we went to the park for a few years in a row, and suddenly they were all bad. We stopped buying them for a bit, and now, every time we do try them again, they’re moldy

I’m devastated, I tried it again last night and I was sad while spitting out potatoes. It’s always somehow a few bites in, too, so I let my guard down.

She can’t taste it as well, but to me it tastes like if you made dirt as strong as cilantro, like sharp dirt. It’s super strong and tastes really bad, and I’m allergic to mold (and penicillin) so it makes me sick later 🙁

Not really expensive obviously, but they’ve consistently been bad for over a year now

    6. With my experience working in food service, as long as you RESPECTFULLY ask for meal adjustments, meal swaps, or a refund, the establishment will try their hardest to accommodate. Keyword, RESPECTFULLY! Here’s a good formula that I’ve found works…

“Pardon me, sir/maam. I wanted to let you know that this dish is not to my liking. I appreciate your work and I don’t want to burden you any further than you probably already are, but may I respectfully request that I get a refund/meal change/meal adjustment?”

Be kind, be considerate, and most of all, BE PATIENT! Food service is hard for everyone. Sometimes the employee just can’t help you, and that’s okay! Or they aren’t allowed to, but will help anyway because you were respectful to them. Either way, take whichever option they offer to you. If you really disapprove with the establishment’s service, then file a formal complaint with management online or in person. Don’t blame the employee, they’re just trying to make an income.
