Probably because they are mostly moderates who think the status quo is fine because the checks cash. Trump proposed killing the population of Iran which is 92,4 million. Had he successfully carried out his plan, and I would vanely hope that Europe and China would have actively tried to intercept US bombers but unlikely, then his genocide would have been worse than Hitler.
