I feel that. I was born with red hair. Then I had blonde hair as a kid. Then I had brown hair as an older kid and young adult. Then I went bald. And now my beard is red.

      Life’s funny sometimes.

Was there a significant difference in time spent outside/ in the sun between the two of you at the time the first picture was taken?

Do you have any idea of what may have caused the striking difference as depicted in the first pic, OP?

I had a friend like that, completely blond in all his kid photos up until puberty, where he became a brunette. He blamed it on only being half Scandinavian lol

You see how the top of the head is darker on the girl on the right hand side? I think it’s some bleaching. I think it’s coming out of the scalp the same color as the one on the left, but the amount of time spent outside is lightening the hair.

    5. My hair fluctuated between light brown/reddish to dark brown as a kid, and went dark brown in my teens with red streaks. Now I am grey.

I thought the bottom picture was a pair of conjoined twins. Don’t ask me why. It’s Friday.

When I was a toddler my hair was light brown with red highlights everywhere. Now that I’m an adult my hair is very dark brown almost black.

    8. As conjoined twins it was probably hard to agree on hair color before you were separated

    9. As a kid I had hair so light that it was basically white. Now it’s a much darker color but matches y’alls in the sun.

      It’s a pretty color!

I had super light blonde hair as a kid. By the time in middle school it was a mousy brown and at high school graduation it reached medium brown. My hair is still easy to lighten tho.

Ya i still don’t know how this happens, same thing happened to me, i HAVE dyed my hair a fair bit, but it was natural blonde then literally switched one day and grew out brown, i had I line splitting the two in half for a couple years before I dyed the blonde to match it

Looked at your hair(s) too long, now I’m starting to see a Rorschach test

    13. I don’t know what my natural hair colour is these days since I dye it, I’m 30 now though and my hair is becoming textured which is very weird for me. It’s always been pin straight

    14. Whats mildly interesting is the fact that only race which have an option for naturally different colored hair or colored eyes are Caucasians. 99% of ppl of other races are stuck with Black/Brown eyes and hair.

Beautiful hair either way! I was born with black hair, then it turned white blonde from around 18 months to 4/5 years, then darkened up… now I’m at some strange auburn-tinted brown. But the ends of my hair are always several shades lighter (I haven’t dyed my hair in about 10 years).

    16. I had a rat tail haircut between, like, 8 and 12 years old or so? And there was a while when it was blond at the end and brown at the roots, with a smooth fade in between, as my hair color changed naturally.

    17. Happened to one of my best friends too. He was blonde when he was a kid and during school his hair turned a super dark brown

    18. I’ve got the same thing with my brother.
      I was a blond and he’s a brunet.

      Now we are both bald.

I am a little different case, I was born with multicolored hair, some of it is blonde, some is black and I have some red too

    20. my siblings and I were all blond(e), ranging from dirty blond to nearly white. 30+ years later, the colors are now dark brown-blond, brunette, and reddish-brown. I’m the recipient of the red-brown, where I sometimes find thick black strands and sometimes find thin blond strands in the depths of my head. human hair suuure is odd.

i’m 20 and my hair has, in the past year, gone from a medium brown to light blonde. just on its own. i was blonde as a very young child as well but i had no idea it could change so drastically during adulthood too

    22. Seems to happen to a lot of blondes. My hair used to be almost white up until my teens, but now around 15 years later it’s something like a medium brown with a bit of red.

    23. My hair was white blonde when I was younger and darkened to dark blonde/ brown. It happens lol

I had straight hair for 35 years…now it’s wildly curly…but I still have all of it at 46 so not complaining

    25. My brothers were both born bleach blonde. Like, really, really blonde.

By about 16, they were both mousy brown, where you *could* say they were still blonde, but you could also just as easily claim they were brunettes. Now approaching their 30’s, they’re all solidly brunettes, no hint of blonde what so ever.

I think it’s just sun bleaching. My mom had very blonde hair as a young woman but it got much darker as she got older and more sedentary. My hair has dark roots, but it sun bleaches very quickly in the summer, and gets a bit darker in the winter.

I’ve been told the layering the sun does with my hair is exquisite.

    27. Is it possible one of you were outside and exposed to the Sun more often when you were younger? That would explain the transition from top to bottom on whichever of you is on the right on the top picture.

If I [remove the background and crop the image](https://i.imgur.com/gccg0lW.jpeg) you can see the top of your heads isn’t that different.

    28. Did she used to spend a lot more time in the sun? Sunbleached hair can commonly cause highlights
