As a parent I can laugh at this and relate so hard. Even if my daughter is 21.

My mom did this in the grocery store once. She was looking for our baby sister, and she was strapped to her. My brother and I tried not to laugh and give it away when she was freaking out

Just like looking for your eyeglasses, and subconsciously wearing it while still looking for it. Then asking your housemates if they have seen it. And they said no, so you kept looking for it.

As a parent this is the most relatable thing I’ve seen on the internet!!

I like that he still covers their tiny head when he bends forward but still isn’t conscious the baby is there. XD

The early months are so disorienting lol. That forced habitual lack of sleep is an everything-changer.

Shopping years ago and had my infant in the cart. My wife went to look for her things and I went to the computer section. Eventually, looked down and … no kid. Absolute panic!!! I sprinted from isle to isle re-visiting where I had been. I finally ran to the front entrance and started yelling that someone has my kid. Ugh…
I had handed him to my wife when she went to look for her own stuff. Didn’t even remember. To this day I can remember the fear… and the embarrassment as my wife wandered up front to see what was going on.

This is the realest parenting moment. Holding and covering the baby’s head the whole time while forgetting you are holding the baby.

My sister did that kind of thing, she was phoning me, and during our conversation I hear her starting rummaging. I asked her what she’s looking for, she respond “I can’t find my phone”. I couldn’t help but reply “have checked near your ear ?” ^^

You don’t know what tired is until you have a newborn. It levels up your ability to deal with sleep deprivation though!

People laugh but I(father) have dropped my son off at daycare, driven 30 minutes to work and then had a panic attack where is my son, only to remember I dropped him off a minute later but that 60 seconds shaved days off my life. And we aren’t talking like one time either, we are talking like this happens several times the first and second year of their lives.

My fiancé did this recently. We took our toddler to the zoo for her birthday and it was cold so he had the infant strapped to his chest under his jacket. He asked me multiple times where the baby was.
