    1. We can’t have a man of peace especially when Reddit talks about Israel

    2. Honestly after 1973 the average Egyptian just wanted another go at Israel. They probably still do.

Nasser made Egypt more secular with his Arab Socialism with more popular support. Saddat went full dictatorship and purged everyone against his way.

    4. Tbf, Nasser is like the perfect “hype moments and aura” of a leader. Sure he suck at most things he did but he looks like a lion while doing so.

I mean the exact thing that propelled Nasser to Arab world fame and stardom – the Suez Crisis – is curiosity missing from this post.

You could do the same with any country’s hero and miss out the thing they’re most famous for. I’ll do it with Churchill now:

-tried to keep Ireland united with Britain with the Black and Tans, was shocked when Ireland declared independence

-led the ANZAC troops into the Gallipoli Campaign which was the bloodiest defeat they ever had

      -resigned out of humiliation

      British National Hero

(Don’t mention the fact he led us to victory in WW2)
