Most likely, old Diamond distributer catalogs that comic shops order from, rather than actual comic books

Is…is that the Rick & Morty D&D series?

Sounds like a threat.

If I were in charge of shipping I would spend the money to print off a bunch of Action Comics #1 front covers just to shred them up for packing material and give people a heart attack when they opened the box.

At one of my old jobs a long time ago we were trying to break into the online shopping business, but our office staff were cheap and refused to order any packaging materials. Besides having to reuse boxes from merchandise, we had to resort to crumbling up expired sales flyers as padding. They they told us to stop doing that because it looked trashy but still refused to order supplies. I think we got a lot of returns.

Shred half, sell half, make them rarer.
Smart.

“Was I a good comic?”
“No. But I’m told you’ll make the best packing material.”

Likely water damaged and shredding them as packing makes total sense. They’re rick and Morty dnd spin off comics which are less than worthless.

FU-Tone used to wrap their blocks, and make their packaging off Victoria Secret magazine pages…
